Ammonoosuc to just above tree-line
Went to check for blow-downs (I'm the trail adopter). There were 3-4 inches of new powder. I used snowshoes for the entire ascent to my turn-around point. There's been a lot of bare booting, so the lower trail is very narrow. On the descent I had to change into trail crampons as the steep parts have loose snow over hard-pack or ice. |
