| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking no problem. One car when I departed and none when I returned. Road was getting slushy and soft outside the main tracks. Don't drift too far to either side to avoid getting sucked in. |

| Comments: |
Rainy at the start but dried out with elevation. No other hikers seen up or down. Saw evidence of skiers skinning up Gorge Brook to Snapper and beyond. Reached the Alpine zone and lost visibility and started losing the trail. Wind gusting pretty strong. This was my first time up Mooselauke and wasn't familiar with the area if I lost the trail. Decided to turn around at about 4,600' and come back. Shame as I was hoping to come back on Carriage Road. Easy hike down. |
