Comments
Comments: Snowshoes all the way; for me the postholes presented a tripping hazard. The trail is smoothly packed until the switchbacks and then you start to find the drifts. Above the switchbacks some of the drifts were mid shin (in my snowshoes). The 0.2 mile climby section of Garfield Ridge Trail was 6-12” new or drifted snow but definitely navigable in snowshoes. The summit was socked in but it was ok, today was about the journey!!
