Comments
Comments: Parked at Morgan but went up Percival and down Morgan - my usual route. Did not see anyone until I started down Morgan. Trail was packed but with a 2-3 inch layer of fresh snow...some crusty and some fluffy powder depending on tree cover. I used microspikes for the whole trip, but snow was pretty soft given the warm conditions. Weirdly, there were tracks from some bare-booters left the preceding day that I was following up Percival that abruptly ended about 0.25 miles from the summit. Lots of butt-sliding on the steeper sections of both Morgan and Percival, so watch your footing. Ridge trail was beautiful as usual, with 2-3 inches of mainly fluffy powder. Conditions will be "interesting" this week with the alternating warm temps and colder days
