Comments
Comments: About 30 hiked or partially skied this route today. Most were in spikes. A few of us in snowshoes. The trail was soft mashed potatoes early on but firmed up a bit by the end of the day. It should be packed well and easily spiked by mid week. Most cut out to the ski trail at the trail junction near the granite bench. From there, I broke out the last 0.2 miles of the Kinsman Ridge trail which was heavily drifted. The drifts are too deep in that section to bare boot without postholing a foot or two in places.
