Comments
Comments: Nice, packed track (though sticky snow) up until about 2500 feet or so. No real postholes. It could easily be bare-booted (in fact lots of folks out today with no traction). However, past about 2500 feet or so, the snow started to get increasingly less consolidated and drier. The trail also started to get chewed up by the folks without snowshoes. Several people who stepped off trail without them, sunk up to their thighs so we were glad we had snowshoes. We had toyed about heading over to Crawford Dome and Resolution but the trail looked more choppy and definitely less travelled and we didn’t feel like fighting the snow today (we did that last weekend...).

Surprisingly, the Presidentials were clear of clouds today so the views were fantastic and there was zero wind at the top.
