Warm but beautiful day. Not many views from the trail, but tree cover kept the temps down. Black flies relentless near the water (or maybe they just liked my brand of fly dope for dessert after they got my blood), but none in other spots. No mosquitoes. Saw several rather large clusters of small black & white butterflies sunning themselves. Interesting. When disturbed, they'd fly away, only to return to their clusters. Quiet trail, pleasant day. |
