The Mt Tecumseh to Sosman trails up to the summit of Mt Tecumseh was a solid surface with no ice. I broke out the Mt Tecumseh trail from the upper junction with the Sosman trail to the summit with snowshoes. Also broke out the Sosman trail from the lower junction with the Mt Tecumseh trail over to the ski area with snowshoes. Broke out the small bushwhack spur from the Sosman trail near the summit to the east outlook.
Great views from the summit, east outlook, and the two outlooks on the Sosman trail segment leading to the ski area.
Many hikers out today. I was the only hiker wearing snowshoe which allowed me easy passage on the trail sections not previously tracked out. Many hikers enjoyed a slide down the trail. Thankfully, the slide tracks were wide (rather than narrow U shaped chutes) that permitted easy traction with the snowshoes on descent.
Saw many skiers on the slope adjacent to the spur trail midway up the Mt Tecumseh trail.
