The trail was soft, but beautiful up to the Engine Hill Bushwhack ... When we entered the Engine Hill Bushwhack the trail had been broken by one (maybe two) person. I kind of thought it seemed "off" but trusted that it would eventually wind its way back to where it should be. Instead, it simply dead-ended on a knoll. We walked back a little bit and I think I could see where it should have been. But, even with snowshoes, there was far more snow than I wanted to tackle with just me and my 12-year old.
We went back to the intersection and meandered a little down the main trail towards Isolation. It was soft and narrow ... But I am assuming that it was entirely broken out because there were two cars that were in the parking lot when we arrived and were still there when we got back, so I am guessing that they avoided the bushwhack ... |
