Comments: Temperatures dipped overnight, setting up the snowpack. Fortunately it looks like most hikers on Old Mountain Road wore snowshoes, so it's in decent shape. Unfortunately, a parasitic postholer did some damage on Crawford Ridgepole.

I wore snowshoes roundtrip and I think they are the way to go on this route. They will be essential this weekend when temperatures rise again.
