Parking lot access road was packed down and rutted ice/snow. 4WD was sufficient up with some anti-lock braking down. Lot was cleared. |

Light to moderate snow was falling the whole way to the summit of Waumbek. Microspikes were sufficient to about 3000 ft then snowshoes. Met 2 barebooters on the way down who broke trail to Mt. Star King. Broke 5-6 inches of fluffy powder to Waumbek and back. Beautiful day in the snow globe. No views until we were driving. |
