Comments
Comments: When I started, the weather was cool enough and spikes worked, until you stepped into the sunny spots on the snowmobile trail. Once on Winslow Trail, the trail was hard-packed (the thaw from yesterday was frozen). However, that didn't last long. Near the half way rock, switched to snowshoes for the rest of the hike. The top a little icy, but it was sunny (and windy)- super clear views. Barlow trail was drifted in and a little challenging to follow at the top. Below the ridge, the trail was a mess, I imagine from yesterday's warm temps and people wearing spikes. Gracie (my pup) made me go first because even she didn't want to deal with it! Saw several folks, all wearing spikes (no surprise there!). A great day to be out.
