We needed something quick to do on our way home today after 3 days in the Whites, this was a perfect opportunity to hit up the big T for February. A bit warm today, making the snow sticky/spring like at the base. It became more packed powder type as we gained some elevation. We opted for snowshoes since we like using the televators on the never ending stairs. Also, plenty of snow if you need to step off the trail to let others pass. Snowshoes make that easier too. We only saw about 7 others today and met a nice couple up top who one of them was hiking her very first 4000 footer. Nice day hiking with spring like temps. |
