Comments
Comments: Great hike of these peaks after a fresh snowfall of approximately 2.5-3" of powder. Trail was broken on Avalon until A-Z intersection. From this point to Mt Willey, I had a great time breaking trail with new minimal snowfall and heavy drifting. The drifting started just before Mt Avalon to Mt Willey
These drifts in a few spots were knee deep. The trail between Field and Willey is quite narrow in spots and there are spruce traps. I met 8 other hikers enjoying the mild temps and clearing skies. The best views of the day for me were on Mt Tom. 35/48 attempt SSW48
