| Comments: |
I used only my microspikes for the entire hike. Snowshoes would be ideal for the trek over to South Peak. Saw alot of people hiking up North in them.
Trail was busy and the summits were cold. The sky was an amazing color of blue and the frozen ridges that were seen were amazing. There were Grey Jays on North just waiting to be fed, and they certainly did not appear to be lacking food.
South Peak offered amazing butt-sledding the entire half mile down. Since the trails were busy, you would not have the opportunity to walk down the trail.
Snowshoes would have been nice once I returned to flat ground. The trek back to the parking lot seemed endless. |
