Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Seven Dwarfs was packed! We got the last possible spot (it was about 9:45a). Another car came along after and had nowhere to park and had to move on to their plan B. So be early if you’re parking here on a weekend—word is out.

Comments
Comments: Great day on the Twins. Forecasted winds seemed to die off, so the temps were chilly but a lot more pleasant than expected. Trail is in great shape, but we wore snowshoes from the bridge the entire way back to the bridge again (please don’t be “that guy” and walk on the bridge in spikes or snowshoes and ruin this great deal for us! A truck passed us right by the bridge and he looked a little grumpy...). Everyone I saw out there had snowshoes—no barebooters or spikes. If you’re looking to do Hale via Fire Warden’s, note that it appeared to be partially broken out, but the tracks were somewhat filled in again. The next person up will have a little bit or work in store for them. For what it’s worth, the trip from Seven Dwarfs to the Haystack Rd trailhead showed as 1.4 miles on my GPS watch. The rest of the Twins, including the spur, was great, thanks to the early crowds that were ahead of us. Shout out to the amazing group of older folks that were out there getting it done! 70+ years young and still banging out winter 4ks!
