Piper lot is poorly plowed in and at lot. If car is not good in snow, park at road and walk short (.2) to trailhead. Restrooms are open! |

Trails was well packed and solid up past campsite, then variable stable snow, ice, loose snow and increased postholes. We used crampons on upper slopes and while perhaps not necessary they sure increased stability! Attention needs to be paid to final .2 miles as a few trails break from the main one, which avoids the cliffs by going behind them (East). First time up here and this peak is deserving of all the accolades. Stunning. |
