Comments: Doublehead, Northeast Doublehead,Mount Squam ,Mount Percival, Squam High Point

Started at Thompson road with snow shoes, the hard pack snow was sturdy enough for me and I did not break through. Once at the Double head trail ,every 4 to 5 steps I punched through. Trail breaking with hard crust was tough. Kenny Y. and myself broke out the entire trail .The trail is still unconsolidated .Once on the ridge we broke out the Crawford ridge pole trail to NE Double head and back down to Mount Squam where shortly after the trail had been broken out the rest of our trip. Conditions were tough with sliding back on the steeps and rock and ice under the snow. Stellar day for a ridge walk and great sunshine. Well marked trail , north of Double head for a short section was not blazed but easy to navigate.
Views and blue sky along with great company made for a perfect trip. It was nice to see a lot of friendly folks around Morgan as we didn't see anyone on the North side of ridge.
