Comments
Comments: Didn't feel like driving to the Whites today, so I opted to summit both Belknap and Gunstock, having never been up Gunstock before. A few friendly snowmobilers out today, one of which recommended staying off the Warden's Trail to the summit, saying that since it's open to sno-mo's and hikers alike, and how winding and narrow it is, hikers should probably avoid it. I took his suggestion and went up via the Red Trail, which had been broken out by someone within the past few days, and it looks like they were on skis. Plenty more signs of XC ski activity over to Gunstock. It was nice speaking with a friendly skier at the summit for a bit. Descended the Orange Trail, which had been chewed up by a bare-booter. I tried to flatten it out the best I could, but it seems like the Orange Trail doesn't get much foot traffic anyway. Another beautiful day in the mountains!
