With yesterday's storm, we used snowshoes the whole way up. There was evidence of people with spikes that had consistently sunk 2 - 4 inches into the trail. Below the jct of Webster and Jackson, the snow conditions were more granular. Above the jct, the trail to Jackson was more solid. The snow pack off the trail was able to mostly support my 150 pound body with snowshoes with minimal sinking. Minimal trailbreaking was needed by those that started earlier then us. There were no tracks heading to Webster. |
