I had a great 15 hour day going over Layfayette Garfield and Galehead and back. The peaks were busy on the way out but vacant on the way back with spectacular views in all directions. Coming back up the Garfield trail to Lafayette was a grinder. Lambeau had great fun at Garfield Pond both times we passed it. I came down fron the Geenleaf Hut under headlamp and thought I was lost for several minutes when the lights at Cannon Mtn were turned off as this was mu distance beacon. I back tracked to Eagle Pass to re-orient which gave me back my confidence. The Boy Scouttraining at work getting unlost. Sincerely, Chisel |
