Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Recent work has been done on the XC Ski trail. This was my first time on the trail and it, for whatever reason, diverts hard to the left almost immediately to nowhere. I thought I was following the wrong trail.

Comments
Comments: A FINE day in the forest. We utilized the XC Ski trail (Snowshoes required - dont be a postholio and wreck it for the skiers). As noted above, it diverts a hard 90 to the left about 100ft from the parking lot. It's well packed but dead ends after about 100 yards. Nothing of note until we got into Mad River Notch. Then the fun begins. I was sweating more than an woman of ill repute in a house of worship. Trail is in OK shape from there to Osceola proper, but the amount of buttsledding on this trail has made it resemble a half pipe - one long chute. I cant imagine how that is fun as I noted plenty of bare rocks for road rash and plenty of visible sticks and roots for a backcountry proctologist exam. We wore snowshoes from car to car. Did note a minor undercast for about a minute over the Tripyramids. Only saw 6 folks all day.
