Great stable snowshoe base. Micro spiked first 3-4 miles along the Little River, then switched to snowshoes. Crampons would have probably worked for the entire hike the base is so firm. Spikes weren’t enough on the steeper sections. Trail drifted over on Twin summits but if you looked around you could find the line. Frost trail also very firm. A buddy hauled my XC skis up to first crossing on the Gale River and thanks to him I cruised out the final couple of miles. |
