Comments
Comments: Did the loop clockwise per some recommendations I saw stating that Avalon Trail is steep so can be hard to descend with ice. Wore micro spikes the entire way and brought snow shoes in case I needed them but did not put them on. Honestly, the entire route is well packed as long as you stay in the center of the path. The edges of the trail are deep so be careful! Plenty of opportunities for butt sledding. No views today due to clouds but still a great hike!
