Comments
Comments: Trail is in great shape all the way through the loop. I used snowshoes all day and my hiking buddy used spikes. Trail is nicely packed down all the way to Whiteface. That ledges section has good grippy compact snow and thus we had no issues. From Whiteface to the Dicey Mills junction had periods of drifts but spikes were doable for the most part. Heading up Passaconaway and then back down to Ferncroft the trail is in great shape. We also broke trail down to the view which looked like it hadn't been touched since at least one storm ago. This view is underrated and if you make all that effort to ascend Passaconaway you might as well take an extra quarter mile to one of the more underappreciated views in the Whites.
