There is limited parking at the hiker lot only for Castle in the Clouds. Plan to arrive early or have a plan B. Those that are parking along the road behind the legit parking spaces make it difficult for those that do not back in to get out. I believe parking anywhere except the hiker lot is grounds to be towed. |

Make sure your dog can handle winter conditions. Be aware that Turtleback Mountain Trail is also a snowmobile route. I would not hike a dog on it. |

I mostly made this report for the parking. I got there between 8:15 and 8:30a and had plenty of parking. When I returned, cars were starting to park behind the legit spaces and making it difficult to back out.
The day itself was beautiful but too cold for my dog to stay out for a longer period of time. Enjoy hiking in this area. So many great trails. |
