Comments
Comments: Standard Hancock loop definitely requires snowshoes. The lower trail are tracked, but the loop trail was drifted in. I used snowshoes the entire way.
From near the summit of Hancock, I bushwhacked the ridge to NW Hancock. Snow was well consolidated and supportive in most places, save for some traps and soft spots, drifts, and short powdery sections. Woods were reasonably open except for a couple thicker pushes.
