Comments
Comments: My plan was to snowshoe up to the junction of the Passaconaway Cutoff Trail and the Square Ledge Trail. Mission accomplished!! I am posting because there are no recent trail reports for this trail and some might consider it as an alternate route to Mt Passaconaway. The first 0.8 miles of Oliverian Brook Trail seems to get a lot of boots and dog paws; after that it’s just beautiful trench. There was 2-4” new or drifted snow on Passaconaway Cutoff (more like 6” up near the Square Ledge junction) and it was pure joy to break through it down to stable base. Lots of small animal tracks. No people today (but it was wicked cold and windy!!)
Would definitely recommend snowshoes, and would recommend this terrific trail!
