Barebooted Zealand Road and might have post holed once or twice in drifty spots. You can see where the old paths were but they are like walking on mashed potatoes. Switched to snowshoes once off the road. Hale Brook Trail has a very nicely packed snowshoe track. You will probably sink down an inch or two if you try to microspike it. Saw one other person also snowshoeing who was very nice and gave me a beer. The weather ended up being nicer than forecasted and I got some partial views on my way descending. |
