| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The trailhead space near the hydrant was open but not plowed when I arrived at around 9 AM. Two guys advised me not to park there so I moved to the power line lot, where there were three cars. The spaces closer to the trailhead were plowed when I returned, with two cars parked there. |

One huge tree to step over. Quite a few low-hanging branches after Surprise, nothing major but they snagged my clothes and pack a few times. |

This was a perfect day to hike Mt Moriah. The trail was mostly packed down, except for a few messy spots where the snow was still soft and deep. Snowshoes were the best option for today. Summit was brilliantly clear and COLD. Spent a little too long up there enjoying the 360-degree views and had to hop to it to get the blood flowing again on the descent! A few butt-sliders made parts of the trail pretty slick for snowshoeing downhill, but overall everything looked beautiful and it was a beautiful day! |
