Parking/Access Road Notes: Even on superbowl sunday with a storm on the way, the parking lot off Rt. 49 was pretty jammed mid morning.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Mad river can only be crossed at bridges, in spite of snow and ice. Greeley ponds were frozen and we crossed both of them on skis.

Comments: Pretty much perfect conditions - low 20s, deep snow, consistency varying between mashed potatoes and true powder. We did the out and back traverse from Waterville Valley to the Kanc.
