| Comments: |
Crawford path was packed down to about the junction with Mitzpah Springs; I switched to light traction there. After Pierce, I switched to the snowshoes. Even still I dropped into a spruce trap once. Nothing was broken out between Pierce and Monroe, and with the wind and snow and limited traffic I expect this to remain. Snowpack on the western slopes were somewhat unstable; if you get off path as I did make safer choices on how to get back on trail. |
