| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I arrived around 6:40am and the parking lots were empty. I drove around to Lot 1 and there were two other cars. I started up around 6:50am, and still no other cars arrived. When I finished just after 9am, all of the lots were pretty full, but still spaces left. |

The second water crossing is snow and ice bridged, but not very stable. I went through both times, so just be cautious. |

| Comments: |
Trail is very well packed, just a bit soft. There was a lot of traffic on the trail yesterday, so pretty packed out. I still chose to wear snowshoes all the way out and back. On the way up, there was one other hiker and a runner who were coming down, both in spikes and were doing fine and not post holing. On my way down, there were a total of about 14 or 15 other hikers coming up, some solo, some in pairs and one group. Was nice to run into a few that I know :) I believe all that I passed were in snow shoes except maybe 2. I am sure spikes would be fine. On this particular trail, in these conditions I prefer the shoes, and was able run down. Gorgeous day, amazing views at the summit, and home before the snow started. |
