Comments
Comments: Bolles Trail and Bee Line Trail were completely unbroken. Broke trail through about 4-12 inches of powder. Trail was hard to follow as there were few blazes and nothing to follow, so got off trail a few times, but checked gaia and found our way back. Snow off trail got up to knee high a few times. Breaking trail was tiring and very slow with just 2 of us. We got to the junction with the summit trail and west side at about 4 and decided not to summit. West Side was unbroken, about 2-6 inches of powder. Once we got to Champney Falls Trail, we took off our snowshoes as it is well packed down. Hiked down quickly in about an hour and a half, finishing around 5:30 as it was getting dark. Stopped at the falls which are frozen and look really cool. Didn't see anyone all day, no one is hiking Bolles and by the time we got up, everyone was off the mountain. Overall, a fun but tiring day.
