Comments
Comments: Nothing extraordinary about the trail conditions; this post is more about the parking situation. The proper parking lot to Greeley Pond Trailhead is NOT plowed. There are a couple of pullout areas before and after the snowed-in parking lot. The pullouts are great--use them! There were many cars parked on the side of the road, and many of them were not over the white line. If you must park on the side of the road, I would suggest bring a shovel to dig out a little area for your car so that you are fully over the white line, aka off the road. I did a see a couple of violation tickets on windshields. It is much easier to park in a pullout or shovel out an area for your car than a $180 ticket. It's also worth suggesting to have a backup hike in mind if parking lots/spaces are full.

Trails were typical for mid-winter. Path was tracked down by enough snowshoers but snow was unconsolidated. About half the hikers were in snowshoes flattening the snow and the other the half were in microspikes tilling up the trail a bit. I'd say it's a lot easier with floatation devices on your feet, but maybe others wanted the extra challenge of snow-sand hiking. Perhaps it's easier on the steep, kicking in steps with microspikes compared to snowshoes. The trail was overall in good condition.
