Comments
Comments: Snowshoes were the best form of footwear this morning. 2 to 3 feet of snow from the get go, with some areas of 4 feet near the summit. Good snowshoe trough throughout, though there was some active drifting on the Sosman Trail near the summit (left at the crooked sign). Only noted ski tracks on the Sosman to the ski area. Mt. Tecumseh Trail to the summit (right at the crooked sign) has not had as much use and would be very unpleasant for barebooting.

Experienced hikers were in snowshoes car to car, but there were some blue jean Microspikes walking like ducks up the steeps (with snowshoers easily blowing by them). Also noted Microspikers struggling to "social distance," as a single step off the trail resulted in deep postholing.

Beautiful morning with temperatures in the 20s and blue sky. A little wind up top, but not too bad.
