Great hike today during the snowstorm with an inch or two of fresh powder over packed snow at the bottom and closer to 3 or 4 towards the top and more in drifts. Definitely recommend snow shoes and poles as spikes probably won't help much. Very deep off trail too if you need to let others by. Also recommend summit loop counterclockwise as we did clockwise and there were some very steep sections coming down. Only saw 5 others on the trail 3 with snowshoes 1 bareboot and 1 skinning. No pets seen. Great day. Be safe! |
