Comments
Comments: Snowshoes car to car. Trail packed out through the falls loop, able to complete the loop from lower junction to higher. Ice in the usual spots, a little tricky where the stairs are in summer, some might prefer crampons there. I was the first snowshoer since the storm, after the upper falls junction, unfortunately a bare booter really trashed the trail from there to the junction with Piper, made the traveling a lot less fun. Lots of loose deep snow in the switchbacks. Met one snowshoer on my way down, he was helping establish a decent track, hopefully a few parties with shoes went through today to consolidate before the post holes freeze over. Only went up to first sister, love the views of the cone from there, no visible track to the top. Overall a good day
