Comments
Comments: The access road, the parking lot, and the trail were entirely unbroken. Snowshoes required until just before the intersection with Marlboro trail. From there in exposed areas the wind had left only a thin coating of ice and snow capped by rime ice. Microspikes would have been optimal there, but there was just enough coating on the rocks to make snowshoes work as well.

Snowshoes still required on the lower portion of the trail. Our snowshoe track makes two short bypasses to avoid scrambles where loose snow was covering ice.

In the morning, we noticed there was still room for a few cars to park roadside at the Pumpelly trailhead despite the snow bank. However, the only tracks heading up the trail itself appeared to be from a solo bare-booter. In the afternoon there was a lone car there and the additional tracks were from bare-boots as well.

Saw about five others at the summit. One of them told us you could use microspikes on the entirety of the White cross and White dot trails.
