|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Mt. Garfield (attempt), NH|
||Gale River Road, Garfield Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Thursday, February 4, 2021|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Parking is mashed down. A tad greasy, so take care moving around. |
||Snow - Unpacked Powder |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Nothing terribly nasty. Just watch what you do. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
|Lost and Found:
||So I turned around because the trail was soft. A bunch of snow fell on the higher elevations, and breaking trail is tiring. But otherwise, it's pretty good. |
It got to the point where I ran out of gas. I wanted to summit, but after a bit, that desire went away. That said, a few groups will make this into Grade-A monorail in short order. Sunday's hikers will find a great trail.
Photos are on my blog, as always.
