Comments
Comments: Great day for January hiking. Took Osseo up from Lincoln Woods Trail, microspikes the whole way until about the last 2 miles of Osseo and then switched to snowshoes for extra traction and to avoid some post holes. Ladders up Osseo filled in with snow and was able to keep snowshoes on heading over them. Bumped into Anthony and Christiara on my way from Flume to Liberty and they offered to swing me from the Basin Parking lot back to Lincoln Woods Trail Head (this was great, a huge thank you again!) so did the hike as a traverse. Definitely recommend snowshoes, saw some people struggling with just spikes in the loser packed trails. Cold start and then beautiful and sunny on the summit.
