Comments
Comments: This trip report will likely be voided out after Tuesday with incoming snow. 4 of us headed up Valley around 9:30 am,saw several others, about 50%using snowshoes. I like the televators and don’t get why everyone else wouldn’t want to use them. But HYOH. Above treeline we opted to keep on the shoes, some kind if traction definitely helps but the snow was pretty powdery under a crust. By using snowshoes I could walk to the side of the track on top of hard snow making it a little easier. No blue ice to be seen. On our way down valley a beautiful snowshoe track was formed with hardly any postholes. It was a perfect day to hit up these big peaks. Blue skies and no wind!!
