| Comments: |
This was an easy warm up walk to get to the trail head. Mostly packed single tracks the whole way. Hale Brook trail was also packed and I started the accent with no spikes or snowshoes. However, half mile or so in. I was losing grip and burning energy as it was like walking on beach sand. Strapped the snowshoes on and up I went. Some post holes as there were a few people not using snowshoes but oh well. Try to stick to the actual beaten path. Just a couple inches off and you are going to sink to your knee. Snowshoes or not. |
