Comments
Comments: When I arrived at 8am the lot was half filled and it was -13. I had thought I was going to hike in leggings and a skirt, but thankfully I had brought an extra pair of pants to wear, and had an extra, extra pair in my pack. topside I got away with just a base layer and vest for the entire day. I opted to wear my snowshoes the entire day, but most were in spikes. MKT trail nicely packed, but as I was on my way out and most were on their way up, KRT trail was getting very chewed up by spikes and bare boots. More than a little irked by folks who made NO effort to get off the trail for social distancing. came upon more than a few who were stopped right in the MIDDLE of the trail with packs strewn about like they owned the place. I must be getting grumpier in my old age, because I was not impressed with the lack of trail etiquette, but I kept my mouth shut. The side trip out to Bald Peak was probably the best part of the day, I had it all to myself.
