Minor, all either iced over or easily stepped across. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail is in great shape down low. Few minor blowdowns that are easily ducked under or stepped over. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Three puppos out on the trail today. As a note, if your puppo poops on the trail, please clean up after it. I’d rather not have poop on my snowshoes or spikes. |

Solid monorail for the first mile or so. Gets increasingly less consolidated as the elevation increases. Fair number of postholes along the switchbacks where it’s really steep.
What a spectacular day today! Wore snowshoes up and spikes down. That’s definitely the way to go, though you could bareboot the entire thing. But the heel lifts on the snowshoes helped a ton going up and spikes helped on the way down. The snow is definitely looser up higher. Of course, everything’s going to change tomorrow... |
