-9 to start this morning, inversion at 4000 feet at 26 degrees. True bluebird day, light winds at 5mph on summits, super comfy weather if you can remove layers easily! Trails to Galehead, South Twin and North Twin are well packed snowshoe track/trench. Some minor post holes up top. Fast conditions. All five of us used snowshoes from start to finish, we gave our spikes a ride. Corridor 11 had a few snow machines on it, well groomed. If you are hiking tomorrow morning, all this applies. But this report is irrelevant if you plan to go Tuesday. Enjoy the Nor’Easter everyone!
Great hike today with Tara, Gypsy Hiker, Lori, Mike, Pemi the golden and Maya the husky dog. |
