Terrific conditions and good to get back to the Hancocks. Lots of people with butt sleds. Trail pretty chewed up between the peaks. No major postholes elsewhere - very firm and a great base for snowshoes. Amazing views from the viewpoints. I was thinking I would get down in the dark but there was plenty of light until well after sunset so I didn't need a headlamp. A bit chilly - it was 2 degrees when I got back to my car at 5:30. I think I was the last one off the mountain probably. |
