Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Just 3 fit into the lot at the trailhead. I tried to fit a 4th, and spent time digging out of that mistake. I parked along the road which is plowed wide by the trailhead.

Comments
Comments: I, and others, started out in spikes, and then changed into snowshoes within a couple hundred feet of the trailhead. Just enough powder that spikes weren't enough and that power needed packing. For the first time this winter everyone (11 others) wore snowshoes. It was a joy not to have to deal with a trashed trail on the return trip. With the winds and the heavily loaded trees there will be a lot more snow on the trails over then next couple of days, so just wear snowshoes.

Note that the summit is 30 yards beyond the summit sign. From what I could tell 9 people didn't make it to the true summit.

Gridded Jan, 233 to go.
