Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water levels are low/negligible. There are, however, no snow bridges at this time.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Two large and two medium blowdowns -- not bad at all. One of these, however, is on the Whitehouse Trail where parallels the multi-use path, so until this one is cleared there won't be any snowmobiles on this.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: I lost a headache I had this morning...don't really want to find it.

Comments
Comments: I got a late start today and only made it to the Liberty Spring tent site before having to turn around -- just 0.3 miles from the ridge trail. Up to that point, I've created a reasonably well-packed snowshoe track where none existed. Some specific notes about the trail conditions: in general, there's anywhere from 6 inches of fresh powder down low (Whitehouse Trail) to 18 inches (upper Liberty Spring Trail), with some deeper drifts here and there. Down low there are a few wet areas with soft new snow, but these are freezing up pretty rapidly. In general, the trails are in good shape and a joy to snowshoe on -- one more good snow is needed to cover some of the larger rocks, though.
