| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of parking. Plowed and I honestly don't think there are any cars that would struggle to get in/out/park here |

I am a light person but going over some of the frozen-over crossings caused some crunching/creaking. It's probably fine... |

Well packed everywhere up until the flat part before the summit. Black pond bushwack is a bit off from the summer route and I got a few branches to the face trying to run through. There were some super minor drifts on Lincoln Brook Trail. Summit itself is moderately drifty and I was glad to have snowshoes. Plenty of post holes around there and the packed out trail goes right over the summit. I was unable to find the cairn and went a bit past where it should have been according to my gps. If you're just following the path and not paying close attention, you will definitely overshoot the summit.
I started in spikes from my car. I only wore snowshoes on Brutus and the summit, but you could probably bareboot it if you were careful and really wanted to. In hindsight, I would not have brought my snowshoes. I did not put spikes back on for the run out.
There was also a sign on the other side of the wiggly Lincoln Woods bridge saying another bridge was closed/out but the bridge itself is fine and well packed. |
